Future Leaders in Business & Finance Scholarship
We believe today’s students are tomorrow’s future. With the Lumine Group Future Leaders in Business & Finance Scholarship, we aim to illuminate the potential of these students by supporting them in achieving their academic and career goals.
The Future Leaders in Business and Finance Scholarship supports Canadian undergraduate students pursuing studies in Business and/or Finance who demonstrate financial need and belong to equity deserving groups.
The Scholarship
- Five applicants will be selected
- Each winner will receive $3,000 CAD
- Funds are issued following confirmation of enrollment and are paid directly to the recipient’s institution
- Selected recipients may be invited to participate in a one-on-one career mentorship session with Lumine Group’s SVP, Head of Human Resources and/or Director of Talent Acquisition. Designed to provide practical guidance as students plan their academic and career paths. Dates will be determined by Lumine Group and shared following scholarship payment.
Who Should Apply:
This scholarship is intended for students who:
- Are Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled in an undergraduate Business or Finance program at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Are actively engaged beyond the classroom, through community involvement, extracurricular activities, leadership, advocacy, and/or work experience
- Demonstrate financial need and would benefit meaningfully from financial support during their studies
- Identify as part of an equity deserving community, including a person with a disability; a member of a visible minority (Black, Indigenous, or other People of Colour); a woman; and/or a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community
- Clearly articulate their academic and career goals and how they are working toward them
If this describes you, we encourage you to apply. This scholarship is awarded once per recipient; previous recipients are not eligible to reapply.
A completed application will include the following:

- Personal bio (max. 500 words)
- A financial need statement outlining personal circumstances and why the scholarship would be meaningful (200 words or less)
- Written responses outlining, extra-curricular activities and/or community involvement (max. 500 words)
- Notable accomplishments (academic, personal, leadership, advocacy or other).
- An essay submission (two pages maximum, 12-point font and double-spaced)
- Applicant attestation confirming all information provided is true, complete, and accurate
How Applications are Reviewed
Applications are evaluated using a structured scoring rubric. The review process considers:
- Demonstrated financial need and personal circumstances
- Writing quality, clarity, and completeness of application materials
- Evidence of drive, initiative, and accomplishments
- Adherence to application instructions and overall presentation
Take care in completing your application, following instructions and presenting thoughtful, well considered responses
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Submissions for the Lumine Group Future Leaders in Business & Finance Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year are now open. May 28, 2026 is the deadline for submissions.
