At Lumine Group, we entered 2023 driven by the momentum from our December announcement, where we shared that Constellation Software Inc & Lumine Group had reached an agreement. This announcement was a monumental moment in Lumine Group’s journey marking the next step in our mission towards building the world's leading network of communications & media software companies
In February, we completed the WideOrbit transaction, and in conjunction, Lumine Group was spun-out of Constellation Software Inc. to operate as a separate public company. On March 24th, trading of the Lumine shares officially commenced on the Toronto Stock Venture Exchange under the symbol LMN. I, along with members of the Lumine Group team and the Lumine Group Board, had the privilege of opening the market on this day. It was a morning I will never forget.In early March, we completed the acquisition of Titanium. Titanium’s core focus is signaling, routing, subscriber data management, and security, allowing network operators to simplify and virtualize their core network functions and interoperate legacy and next-gen networks.
Throughout the year, our team continued to stay close to understanding the latest innovations and challenges facing the communications and media industry. In February, Lumine attended Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest event and tradeshow dedicated to the mobile communications industry. I, along with our Group Presidents and M&A team members attended the event to meet with software leaders from around the world.
In April, we held Illuminate, Lumine Group’s largest learning event for senior leadership teams across the portfolio. This year, Illuminate took us to Bangkok, Thailand, where we brought together 220 CEOs, department heads, and emerging leaders across the portfolio. The event was powerful, reminding us of the value of in-person connections, recognizing the scale and international reach of our ecosystem, and proving the wealth of operational knowledge our talented teams contain.
